Hopelessness Is Expensive

To keep society hopeless is to destroy its purpose and therefore its discipline. A person without discipline will not harbour any plans for the future, in turn spending resources on comfort and enjoyment rather than on the building and creation of their dreams.

Motivation will not always be your copilot. It takes the dark days off and lingers in the shadows of the early mornings. Where motivation is fuel in itself, discipline, its more powerful counterpart, is fuelled by purpose.

A person with purpose is more powerful than any obstacle or circumstance they will face.

Keeping your dreams alive is vital to your wellbeing. It’s critical to your future. Why? Without purpose, you will never do the hardest things. Without reason to continue, you will inevitably stop moving.

Comfort and reward are constant temptations, always a whisper of what you deserve since you have worked hard enough already. Rest. Enjoy. Indulge.

Discipline dies in the face of comfort. Dreams with no discipline will never know reality.

You can have comfort, or you can live an intensely fulfilling life. Freedom means you get to choose.

Work hard in pursuit of what lights your soul on fire. Do not apologize the grandeur of your dreams or intensity of your passion. If you have a vision, it is yours to build into existence. You are human, this means you’re a creator. Denying your dreams, the clarity of your vision, is to deny the very power you are given; the power to create reality.

Are you living your life for your dreams, or for your next fun weekend?

Does that weekend contain unapologetic pursuit of what you care about most, or is it filled with escapism?

The world is structured to spend your hard earned money on comfort and gratification, which is becoming more and more immediate. Dopamine hit after dopamine hit will force you into forgetting the deeply satisfying reward that discipline and patience provide. It will rob you of your focus. Once you lose focus, your memory of your power gets lost in the chaos of scattered thought.

Time and energy are your two most valuable commodities. You spend both with your focus. Steal a man’s focus, sell him comfort, and you will rob him of every ounce of power he rightfully owns. Once it’s gone, he will forget he ever had it.

A man who has forgotten his power will willingly spend his money on what brings him temporary happiness.

Guide your focus consciously.

Use your energy to empower yourself and create a fulfilling life, whatever that looks like for you. This process isn’t selfish. It’s expansive. What’s expansive will always serve the world as a whole. You were never meant to put your fire out, but to use it to serve everyone around you. As you remember your power, they will be reminded of theirs.

Avoid falling into the traps the world sells to those who have forgotten how powerful they are.

Work hard, reward yourself briefly, move forward every day. This world will happily destroy your vision the moment you give it power over you.

Keep your purpose, use your discipline, set your own rules.

Power is everything. Take yours back.
